The rules
Three kinds of product, three ways to work out the tax.
| Product | Sales tax | FBR scenario |
|---|---|---|
| Medicines under serial 81 of the Eighth Schedule | A fixed 1% | SN025 |
| Cosmetics and skincare in the Third Schedule | 18% of the printed retail price | SN008, or SN027 for retailers selling to the public |
| Herbal and homeopathic medicines and most other goods | The standard 18% | SN001 to registered buyers, SN002 to unregistered buyers |
Set the sale type once on each product, and eInvoicePro applies it to every invoice.

FAQ
Rates, scenarios and getting started.
Medicines covered by serial 81 of the Eighth Schedule to the Sales Tax Act carry a fixed 1% sales tax. FBR treats them as non-adjustable supplies. Herbal and homeopathic medicines are taxed at the standard 18%.
SN025, which FBR created for drugs sold at the fixed rate under serial 81 of the Eighth Schedule. eInvoicePro sets it on your medicines, so it is on every invoice without anyone picking it.
Cosmetics are in the Third Schedule, so the tax is 18% of the printed retail price, not the price you sell at. eInvoicePro keeps the retail price on each product and works the tax out from it.
Yes. Distributors bill pharmacies and hospitals from the same software, one invoice at a time or a whole day from Excel. See FBR invoicing for distributors.
Yes. Your ERP sends each invoice to eInvoicePro through our API, and gets FBR's invoice number and QR code back for printing.
You see FBR's reason next to the invoice. Fix it and send it again. Most rejections come from a wrong buyer or the wrong tax type, and eInvoicePro checks both before sending.
