Salon and gym billing for SRB and PRA

Since July 2026, many salons, beauty clinics and gyms in Sindh must send every bill to SRB. eInvoicePro does it as you bill, and prints SRB's or PRA's invoice number and QR code on every receipt.

2026 rules

Is your business in scope?

In Sindh, meeting any one of SRB's tests means every bill must go to SRB.

Sindh (SRB): you are in if you…

  • Are in a hotel, motel or guest house
  • Are a franchise
  • Have more than one branch in Sindh
  • Are in an air-conditioned shopping mall
  • Had a utility bill above Rs 50,000 in any month of the year
  • Had turnover above Rs 5 million

Punjab (PRA): what PRA expects

  • Every bill sent to PRA through E-IMS once turnover reaches Rs 10 million a year
  • A tax invoice for every client: a missing one costs Rs 500,000 the first time
  • QR payments accepted and the QR code on display, under PRA's Circular No. 1 of 2026
  • 5% tax for salons and 8% for gyms
Salon and gym sales tax rates from 1 July 2026
Province Salons & beauty parlours Gyms & fitness centres
Sindh (SRB) 8% 8%
Punjab (PRA) 5% 8%, up from 5%

Sindh's old 5% rate for salons that had linked their POS ended on 1 July 2026. Every beauty and fitness bill in Sindh is now 8%.

What changed

Why salons and gyms are switching now

Sindh made it a duty

Before July 2026, a Sindh salon joined SRB's POS rules only to get the lower 5% rate. Now its location, branches, bills or turnover bring it in.

The utility bill test

One month's utility bill above Rs 50,000 in the year is enough to bring you in, whatever your turnover.

Banks report card sales

In Punjab, banks and wallets now take PRA's tax out of card and QR payments before paying you: 5% for salons and 8% for gyms. Your bills need to match.

FAQ

What salon and gym owners ask

Scope, rates and getting started.

Does my salon in Sindh need SRB POS?

Yes, if it meets any one of SRB's tests from 1 July 2026: it is in a hotel, motel or guest house, it is a franchise, it has more than one branch in Sindh, it is in an air-conditioned mall, it had a utility bill above Rs 50,000 in any month of the year, or its turnover was above Rs 5 million.

Are gyms and fitness centres covered too?

Yes. SRB's rules cover beauty parlours, salons, beauty clinics, slimming clinics, gyms and physical fitness centres, on the same tests.

What rate does a salon charge in Sindh?

A flat 8% from 1 July 2026. The old 5% rate for salons that had linked their POS to SRB has ended.

What about salons and gyms in Punjab?

Salons and beauty parlours pay 5% and gyms 8%. If your turnover is Rs 10 million or more a year, every bill must go to PRA through E-IMS. eInvoicePro handles that too.

How can a client check a bill?

By scanning the QR code on the receipt. In Punjab, clients use PRA's Sahulat app. In Sindh, bills with Rs 100 or more in tax also enter SRB's lucky draw.

Do we need new hardware?

No. eInvoicePro runs in the browser on the computer or laptop you already use at the front desk, and prints on your existing printer.

How long does it take to start?

Most of the work is adding your SRB or PRA details and your list of services, and we help you with both.
